Overview

MarketScrubber is designed with privacy in mind. Personal data is only collected in two cases: when you choose to subscribe to Pro features (handled through ExtPay/Stripe), and through anonymous usage analytics (Google Analytics) unless you opt out.

What We Collect

Free: no personal data collected

MarketScrubber processes only Facebook Marketplace listing content. It does not collect browsing history or gather any personal information from Facebook. All preferences and settings are stored locally on your device.

Usage analytics (Google Analytics)

The extension collects anonymous usage data to understand user flows and improve the experience. This includes:

Interaction events and user flow data
A randomly generated device ID that uniquely identifies your device across sessions

This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information. You can opt out of analytics at any time through the extension settings.

Pro subscriptions (ExtPay/Stripe)

If you opt into Pro features, ExtPay collects the following to manage your subscription:

Email address
Payment and billing information (processed by Stripe)
Account credentials and authentication tokens
Subscription status, renewal dates, and trial information

Pro features are entirely optional. You can use MarketScrubber without subscribing.

How Your Data Is Used

Subscription data is used solely to enable and manage Pro feature access.
Analytics data is used solely to understand how users interact with the extension and to guide product improvements.
Neither is used for advertising, re-targeting, or marketing purposes.
Your data is shared only with:

ExtPay/Stripe: to process payments and manage subscriptions
Google Analytics: to receive anonymous usage events and device ID for product improvement

No data is sent to Facebook, and no other data is shared with any third party.

Your Rights & Controls

Opt out of analytics: disable usage tracking at any time through the extension settings
View and manage your subscription through ExtPay at any time
Delete local data through your browser settings or extension options
Disable the extension at any time without affecting your browser
Opt out of Pro: core filtering features remain available for free

Security

All external data transmissions use HTTPS encryption. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-compliant. Analytics data sent to Google Analytics includes only a randomly generated device ID and interaction events: no personally identifiable information. No payment data is accessed by human employees except with your explicit consent for support purposes.

Chrome Web Store Compliance

This extension complies with Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements. User data is collected only as necessary to provide the subscription service and improve the extension, is not used for advertising or re-targeting, and is not sold or shared with third parties beyond ExtPay/Stripe and Google Analytics as described above.
